Thought for the Day

Dear friends,

One of the joys of Methodism is the clear emphasis on local ministry. This is known as 'the priesthood of all believers'. So we have Local Preacher and Worship Leaders who have responded to God's calling to offer ministry in their local communities. We truly rely upon this Sunday by Sunday and more.

I am delighted that, for the next few weeks, I will be able to send you a 'thought for the day' or short act of worship prepared by a local preacher or worship leader. These 'thoughts' will vary in style and length. Here is the first of these prepared by Philip Rice.

Every best wish,
Andrew

Dear friends,Thought for the Day.I am so pleased that todays 'Women of the Bible' considers Shiprah & Puah. As Margret Tuffin correctly notes, they are often the over looked heroines of the Old testament. Without their fortitude, ingenuity, bravery and audacity one of the most significant characters of the bible would not have survived beyond childbirth. Thank you Margret for you...
