Thought for the Day 4th September

Back home  /  News  /  Thought for the Day 4th September

My dear friends,

Clare Pickering has provided us with a 'thought for Friday' (attached). Thank you Clare. We pray that you, and everyone, young and old, who has returned to schools this week will find a calm, safe, happy, and supportive learning environment.

Following covid-19 guidance, Central & Rothwell MC have established a safe format for worshipping. I am very pleased to announce that from this Sunday, 6th September, we are able to host worship at both churches.

Sunday 6th September:
Central : led by Maureen Ownsworth at 10.30 a.m.
Rothwell : led by Rev. Andrew Farrington at 10.30 a.m. to include Holy Communion.

You are required to wear a face mask (unless there are medical reasons why this is in appropriate for you).
Single chairs are now set at least 1.5m apart.
You can enter the premises from 10.20 a.m.
The services will end at 11 a.m.

To aid 'track and trace' routines, it would be most helpful if you could reserve a seat in advance. It is unlikely that we will run out of seats. We will try and accommodate anyone who arrives – but will give priority to those who have pre-booked. Please reserve your place by contacting Fiona Farrington, Circuit Administrator, at 01536 485690 or methodistcircuit@gmail.com.

We thank the Action Teams at both churches for their help and co-operation. We have all learned a great deal in the past months, including how to cope with constantly changing guidance and plans. There are a good team of volunteers ready to welcome you. Each church is thoroughly cleaned between each event. I am taking regular Covid-19 tests.

We look forward to seeing. Please call me if you wish to discuss any of this information. I am here to help.

Every blessing,
Andrew
