Tear Fund Big Quiz

I share with you a message from Rev. Laura Staves, Minister, Rockingham road Baptist Church, Kettering

Rockingham Road Baptist Church are holding the Tearfund's Big Quiz again this year to fundraise for the charity's work in some of the world's poorest countries.

It is on 14th November at 7.30pm using "Zoom", it should last around 45 minutes,

Tearfund's ready-made quiz includes questions suitable for all ages and teams, large or small.

We suggest a donation of £3 per person to take part and these can be made through a just giving page specially set up. All money will go straight to Tearfund.

The link is

Money raised will go to help change the lives of people living in poverty – like Alaya, her husband Bazwell and their three young children in Malawi. They rely on growing maize to survive, but the weather patterns that have guided their farming for generations have changed. And it's putting everyone at risk of sickness and starvation. Frequent flooding brings diseases like cholera and damages their home, washing away what little food they have. With Tearfund's partner, AG Care, Alaya and Bazwell are learning new ways of working the land under these tough conditions.

To take part in Tearfund's Big Quiz Night at Rockingham Road Baptist Church please send an e-mail to me, Laura Staves e-mail is minister@rrbc.org.uk

I will e-mail the details for joining a short while before the quiz is due to start, if you have friends or family who want to take part just ask them to e-mail too.

It should be possible to play in teams of 2 or 3 households if you want, please can you let me know in advance who you want to be in a team with, otherwise it could be a random selection for every team!

God bless
Laura

Every Blessing, Andrew
