Thought for The Day 20th April

Home » News » Thought for The Day 20th April

Dear friends,

Joan Gray has written our next 'Thought for the day'. As a conclusion she suggested that we might use 'Give thanks with a grateful heart'.

This is the text of the hymn:
Give thanks with a grateful heart,
give thanks to the Holy One;
give thanks because he's given
Jesus Christ, his Son.
Give thanks with a grateful heart,
give thanks to the Holy One;
give thanks because he's given
Jesus Christ, his Son.

And now let the weak say, 'I am strong,'
let the poor say, 'I am rich,'
because of what the Lord has done for us;
And now let the weak say, 'I am strong,'
let the poor say, 'I am rich,'
because of what the Lord has done for us;

Give thanks.

I feel very blessed today. Time for worship and prayer. Beautiful weather, and have been able to work, rest, and play. The cars have never been so clean. And... final DVD in the Star Wars saga arrived too. So a perfect night in watching The Rise of Skywalker. Happy to watch over again with anyone who is interested — even from the first film if you wish. Okay, I hear you say' what about social distancing'.. I have drifted into a galaxy far, far, away.

I hope that you too have found God present this day.

Andrew.

p.s. not sure if there is a problem with emails with 'hotmail' accounts. I have a lot of 'undelivered' messages.

Good morning, here we are into the week leading up to Christmas Day. Sadly for many plans have had to be changed/put on hold for the festivities but as Sandra Collins suggested to us at Rothwell on Sunday morning, this may give us time to "just be" and open our hearts to Jesus as we give thanks for his coming to earth in flesh.If you follow the plan closely you would have seen my name...
