Thought for the Day 18th April

Home » News » Thought for the Day 18th April

Friends,

I attach my thought for this day based on the gospel reading for tomorrow. Usually I (and most other Ministers) have this weekend 'off' as holiday, so it is not often that I have an opportunity to reflect upon 'Thomas' and his needing to see before believing. The 2 sides of A4 service include 5 video links to the hymns and my recordings of the prayer/reading/ and reflection. I hope you are able to use the hyperlinks.

Kate Horrix has prepared an act of worship for tomorrow also linked to Thomas. We have both taken a different tack — so please enjoy two views.
I will send the links to Kates service later on Saturday afternoon.

Best wishes, Andrew

Dear friends,Thought for the Day.I am so pleased that todays 'Women of the Bible' considers Shiprah & Puah. As Margret Tuffin correctly notes, they are often the over looked heroines of the Old testament. Without their fortitude, ingenuity, bravery and audacity one of the most significant characters of the bible would not have survived beyond childbirth. Thank you Margret for you...
