Dear friends,

Caroline Barratt has prepared for our Thought for Thursday 11th June. She takes us to the mountain tops.

Thank you Caroline, for lifting us in Spirt.

Covid-19 and Church opening places of worship for Private Prayer:
Thank you for the many questions regarding changes to Government regulations. I wish to assure you that the Circuit Leadership Team and I are considering if, how, where, and when we might be able to open churches for private prayer. Methodist Church Guidance for Circuit and Churches seeking to do this will be published tomorrow. Just because we can open does not mean that we should. The health and safety of all those who might attend and Steward must be foremost in our thinking. The Church of England are slightly ahead, and already St Giles Church is developing plans to re-open. We have established cleaning regimes in place at Central – Kettering, Rothwell & Cornerstone. I can envisage these 4 places as being the likely first points for private prayer. I will let you know as soon as we have agreed plans for any re-opening. Please hold the Circuit leadership team and I in prayer.

Burton Latimer and Cottingham have not been forgotten. I am sure you will understand that at this time we will need a phased approach.

I look forward to seeing you soon,
Andrew
