Webteam: December 2019
On Thursday 5th December Myself, Andrew and a team of volunteers from Rothwell Methodist Church welcomed nearly 400 staff and pupils to a special Advent assembly at the Church. For many of the children it was the first visit to the Church and it was lovely to see it full.
We welcomed year 5 and 6 in the morning and years 3 and 4 in the afternoon. During our time together we talked about God's special gift of his son Jesus and we also thought about all the different gifts we have and what we would bring to Jesus if we visited him in the manger. We finished the afternoon by inviting all year 3 parents to share in mince pies and refreshments
before the children returned back to school.
