Dear friends,

I have recorded a service of Holy Communion for Maundy Thursday. This should be available to view from 7 p.m. this evening on the St Giles Church, Desborough 'YouTube' page.

The worship runs for 20 mins and uses the liturgy found in Methodist Worship Book from page 241. The video file is too large to email. I do enclose copies of the pages from MWB for you to print should you wish.

We share in a common sadness that we are not able to receive bread and wine but we can join together, united in a bond of Christian fellowship, and look forward to be day when we will be at church again and physically be able to share the Peace and partake of the sacraments. For now we are all one in our deprivation of this sacrament but know of its life sustaining power. To God be the glory!

I hope to prepare a similar communion service on Easter Sunday using the Circuit web-site. More details will be given by email.

Dear friends,Thought for the Day.I am so pleased that todays 'Women of the Bible' considers Shiprah & Puah. As Margret Tuffin correctly notes, they are often the over looked heroines of the Old testament. Without their fortitude, ingenuity, bravery and audacity one of the most significant characters of the bible would not have survived beyond childbirth. Thank you Margret for you...

Dear friends in Christ,Rev. Neil Clarke has established a revised pattern of 'Daily Thoughts' to incorporate a 'Hymn of Day' theme. Inspired by this, I share with you my thoughts and reflections on the great Wesleyan Methodist anthem 'And can it be..?' including a recording made at Wesley Chapel, London. Be prepared to turn up the volume and sing your heart out. ...
